DIY Jewelry

I have been seeing so many girls lately wearing delicate jewellery, mainly in the form of rings, but also wearing them in a unusual way at the tops of their fingers.

I was digging in my closet and found an old box of arts and crafts supplies, most of which were from Halloween costumes our grandma had made for us when we were little, but I came across a coil of delicate wire.

I instantly knew what I should try to make so I sat on my bed with some pliers and started playing around. After many trial and errors, and too much wasted bits of wire, I finished with one necklace and 6 rings.

My favourite thing that I made would be the necklace (which also had the most trial and errors), where I added a pale pink gem off a old earring that had long lost its matching partner.
I would love to be able to show and tell you all how I formed each piece of jewellery but I don't even know how I did it.
All I can say is to go to any craft store or hardware store, pick up some thin wire and start playing around. It is such a easy, fun and cute DIY, and is so rewarding once you make something that you really like.

I am already trying to plan more DIY with wire like this and will be sure to keep notes for my next post :)
