My white tee needed a little makeover for summer. I found these plastic neon beads in my craft box and a lightbulb went off in my head! I remembered the tassel shirts I use to get in Mexico when I was a little girl so I decided to make my own version. These shirts are everywhere in stores at the moment, but why not create something that no one else will have? It's much more fun and the possibilities are endless. Because of my neon obsession right now, I'd love to try cutting up a neon pink shirt and adding metallic beads.
What You Need:
- An old t-shirt (thrift stores have the very best ones!)
- Plastic beads
- Scissors
- A splash of patience
What To Do:
- Put the shirt on and measure where you would like the tassels to rise to
- Start cutting your tassels - it's okay if they aren't all the same size
- Once you have cut the tassels, add your beads and tie a knot at the end of each tassel
- Enjoy!
Try out this DIY. Trust me, it will make you feel like a kid again :)
