Fan Tan Alley

With the sun beginning to shine far longer than it used to, we took advantage of the particularly warm evening by searching for lost and hidden gems in the shops of Canada's oldest China Town. You can feel the history in the walls as you make your way down these narrow, dimly lit alley ways. Like any best friends, we enjoy lazy days when nothing particularly exciting happens, but this evening was filled with inside jokes, lovely thrift finds, laughter and exploration.

We found ourselves at one of our favourite little spots in down town Victoria, the Bubble Tea Place. Three years ago we tried bubble tea together for the first time and for decided it wasn't for either of us. We of course decided to give it a second chance and now love, crave and enjoy bubble tea whenever we can!

Taking our delicious tea with their eccentric names (flirtatious raspberry and nipple twister), we headed into Chinatown, one of the most popular streets in Victoria. The street is filled with old Chinese design, street markets, hidden alleyways and wandering people.

Victoria's Chinatown is the oldest Chinatown in Canada and the second oldest in North America, making it that much more interesting to have in our own backyard.

After spending a good amount of time window shopping, thrift shopping, chatting and walking the old brick alleys, we headed home..  or that's where we were supposed to be headed..

Getting sidetracked and making a short pit stop on the side of the road with the sun hitting it just right, we thought it would make for a great photo opportunity.

We want to thank everyone who has visited our site and a special thanks to all the followers. It means a lot to us.
Keep smiling and creating :)

  4. Hi, thanks so much for your comment on my blog! Your blog is really cool :)
It's so great that you're coming to Zagreb! There are a lot of nice places in Zagreb that you should see, especially in the center, like the Ban Jelacic square (the main square in Zagreb), King Tomislav's square (see my post here:http://fashion-sienna.blogspot.com/2012/05/this-is-not-drive-by.html), the Zrinjevac Park... That's all in the center of the city. The longest street in Zagreb, called Ilica, is a must-visit because there are a lot of great shops.... There are also a lot of cool museums, like the Archeological museum.
If you need any more info, or you want to ask something in specific, whether it's about Zagreb, my blog, or anything, feel free to leave a comment on my blog, or contact me via e-mail which you can find on my blog:)
