If you've followed the blog for awhile, you probably remember Richard and I hosting couch surfers in our apartment in Victoria before we left for our trip. We had such a wonderful time meeting new people and sharing stories that we decided to try couch surfing while in Italy. We stayed with Jan, the most incredible couch surfing host. He welcomed us into his Bolognese mansion, cooked for us and showed us around Bologna and the surrounding areas in his car (which was a nice change from the bus!). He also had four cats... enough said.
