The holiday season is all about dressing up in glitter and sequins and looking feminine and polished. Don't get me wrong, I love dressing up... But it's quite refreshing to be able to throw on a sweater over a men's shirt and leave the house without wearing any makeup and having my 'just got out of bed' hair happening. This is one of my favourite looks. For some reason, I'm really drawn to masculine trends at the moment. Loafers, collared shirts, tweed.. You get the idea! x

Studded Jean Vest & Guess
Merry Christmas Everyone!
I cannot believe it is only 3 days away, it's crazy right? I feel like summer just ended and I was just ripping the plastic off my new textbooks. But sadly we are half way through winter and my shorts are stored away with the rest of my summer wardrobe.
Even though it is the middle of winter I still can walk around during the day with a light shirt, my studded jean vest and a scarf.
I previously posted my DIY studded collar so if you missed it check it out here.
DIY studded jean vest; boutique chiffon shirt; Guess jeans; Boots from Australia; Urban Outfitters Scarf
Hope you guys have a great Christmas and we can't wait to hear what Santa brought you all!

DIY Rock Earrings
Do you ever get that feeling where you just need to make, bake or even clean something?
Well, today my DIY senses were tingling and I knew I just needed to create something.
I didn't feel like leaving the house to buy supplies, so I sorted through some supplies I had leftover from old projects, found these goodies and decided to make a pair of earrings.
What you need:
Beading thread/wire
Beads (any assortment)
Pliers
The wire I had was super thin so I decided to twist two pieces together to make the base a bit stronger.
I created a tiny knot on the end to keep the beads from falling off and cut off the excess amount.
After playing around with different amounts of beads and placement, this is what I ended up with. Making earrings is so fun because you can let your imagination and creativity run wild!
I was in Fabricland today after making these earrings and saw that right now all their jewellery beads are buy 1 get 2 free! Of course I jumped at that deal and stocked up on a assortment of beads.
I can't wait to show you the different earrings I make... So stay tuned!

DIY Christmas Crafts at Sitka
On a dark and dreary evening in YYJ, some of Victoria's finest came out to play!
We attended Sitka's DIY night last night and created Christmas decoration masterpieces; West Coast style!
Sticks, lace, feathers and hemp were all being tossed around while each lovely lady created something unique. Entry was by donation with all proceeds going to Hurricane Sandy relief.
Two things we learned while DIYing at Sitka:
1.Victoria has some of the most stylish, creative ladies around (well, we actually already knew that!)
2. You can never have enough pairs of scissors at a DIY night!
Thank you for a wonderful evening, Sitka!

Autumn Shoot
I had the pleasure of shooting with the lovely and talented Ebony Aitken recently.
We went to an old church in downtown Victoria and took advantage of the gorgeous stone walls and the warm sunset light ♥

Although I do enjoy dressing up for work and getting to wear a variety of clothes, yesterday I went for a more casual look.

Last night I decided to relax, curl up on the couch with a hot cup of soup and watch the season finale of Grey's Anatomy. Are there any other fans out there like me, especially ones that are sad to see Lexi go :( ?
